Dubai Announces Golden Visa for Teachers

On World Teachers’ Day, Sheikh Hamdan announced the news on social media platform X, expressing the city’s appreciation for educators’ efforts in shaping the minds of future generations

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced on Saturday that educators who have made exceptional contributions to the private education sector in Dubai will receive Golden Visas.

In a social media post, the Crown Prince of Dubai said: “On World Teachers’ Day, we issued directives to grant the Golden Visa to educators who have made outstanding contributions to Dubai’s private education sector. We deeply appreciate your efforts in nurturing young minds and instilling the values that will build tomorrow’s leaders. You are key partners in shaping Dubai’s future and in achieving the visionary goals of the Education Strategy E33.”

By launching this new program, Dubai hopes to draw skilled teachers to the emirate and inspire them to support the city’s promising educational future. It is in line with the Dubai Education Strategy for the ensuing ten years, which emphasises hiring outstanding educators who are enthusiastic about encouraging lifelong learning.

Recipients of the Golden Visa are exceptional teachers employed by international higher education institutions, private schools, and early childhood centres. This honour is a result of their outstanding academic performance, their contributions to raising the standard of education, the positive comments they have received from the academic community, and their initiatives in assisting students in meeting recognised graduation requirements and better academic outcomes.
