Russia President Putin Agrees To Negotiate End Of War With Ukraine After Donald Trump’s Warning
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced his willingness to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine after former U.S. President Donald Trump warned him to end the conflict quickly or face heavy economic consequences.
In a recent statement, Putin admitted he is open to dialogue, saying:
“We believe the current president’s statements about his readiness to work together. We are always open to this and ready for negotiations. It would be better for us to meet, based on the realities of today, to talk calmly.”
Putin also praised Trump, describing him as a smart and pragmatic leader. He said:
“He is not only a smart person but a pragmatic one. I cannot but agree with him that if he had been president, if his victory had not been stolen from him in 2020, then perhaps there would not have been the crisis in Ukraine that arose in 2022.”
The Russian leader blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for stalling peace talks, noting that Zelenskyy had signed a decree preventing negotiations with Russia.
