Diddy reportedly taken to hospital from his federal prison cell

In the early hours of Sunday, (February 2) music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly rushed to hospital.

The founder of Bad Boy Records was cuffed by Homeland Security Investigations at a New York City hotel back in September and is currently facing federal criminal charges in an alleged sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

The music mogul, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, has been denied bail on three separate occasions.

According to sources who spoke to PEOPLE, Combs has settled into life at the detention center, spending time playing card games and basketball with fellow inmates during recreational hours. He also receives weekday visits from family members.

“He’s well-liked inside prison,” a former inmate told the outlet. “People are getting along with him.”

Now, according to sources (via Page Six), the 55-year-old entrepreneur was taken to the emergency room around 3AM on Sunday by his security team.

He began experiencing severe stomach pains so the hospital conducted a series of tests and determined that Diddy was suffering from acute gastritis, likely triggered by a combination of stress and poor dietary choices. He was treated and released later that morning, with doctors advising rest and a modified diet.

A representative for Diddy has not yet commented on the incident.

Diddy, known for his influential career in the music industry and various business ventures, has maintained a busy schedule in recent months, including the launch of a new fashion line and ongoing work with his record label. It’s unclear if this health scare will impact his upcoming projects.

Combs’ bid for bail has been denied three times. His first request was rejected during his September 17 arraignment, one day after his arrest in a Manhattan hotel room.
