“Investigate and Prosecute Her”: Liz Warren Faces Fire, Potential Investigation after Directing Wildfire Donations to Democrat Fundraiser that Skims Off the Top

Elizabeth Warren is facing criticism after it was revealed that she directed wildfire relief donations to the contentious Democratic funding platform ActBlue. This occurred despite her assurances to her social media followers that “100%” of the funds raised would be allocated “directly” to California relief organizations. In truth, only 4% of each donation was actually sent to ActBlue.

For context, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) published a message on X on January 11, 2025, soliciting donations to assist communities impacted by the LA wildfires. She informed her followers that all contributions would be directed to two organizations: the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and United Way of Greater Los Angeles. However, conservatives pointed out that the link Senator Warren included in her post directed donations through ActBlue, which is said to take approximately a 4% fee from all funds collected through its online platform.

In her initial post, Senator Warren urged her followers to contribute financially to assist the communities impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles, which occurred from January 7 to January 31, 2025. She stated, “To aid the communities in the L.A. area suffering from the devastation of wildfires, could you consider dividing a donation between the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles?” Furthermore, she emphasized, “All of your donation will be allocated directly to these organizations.”

However, following Sen. Warren’s fundraising appeal, conservative commenters exposed her falsehood. One commenter, Tim Young, stated, “This is a scam to fundraise for Democrat campaigns…ActBlue??? You should be ashamed of yourself.” Another commenter highlighted, “These donations go directly to ActBlue, the Democratic dark money site.” They further advised, “Do not donate to any politician; seek a reputable site if you feel compelled to contribute.”]} }

Furthermore, additional conservatives criticized Sen. Warren in the comments, highlighting that she was “channeling donations through a left-leaning organization” and labeling ActBlue as a “Democrat money laundering scheme.” In a comment that received 6,800 likes, the X account Libs of TikTok stated, “We recognize your malevolence, but this is unprecedented.” Another account added, “Democrats are exploiting the LA fires to fundraise for their political PAC. The lowest of the low.”]} }

Months after the initial post was published on X, conservative influencer Mila Joy urged for an investigation into Senator Warren in a post dated May 11, 2025, stating, “Elizabeth Warren was taking advantage of Los Angeles fire donations for her personal benefit.” She further remarked, “Its (sic) fraud,” and called upon Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to “investigate and prosecute” Senator Warren for allegedly using a charity fundraiser as a means to support her own campaign. Joy ended with, “It won’t stop unless we stop it.”

Additionally, on March 8, 2025, the X account known as Western Decline criticized Sen. Warren for her questionable actions in a response to Elon Musk, stating, “Reminder that Elizabeth Warren was caught diverting funds intended for victims of the LA fires to ActBlue.” They further remarked, “Naturally, the media has entirely overlooked this scandal. Share this and reveal these fraudsters; we are the media now.”

In reaction to Western Decline’s statement, numerous conservatives demanded the arrest of Sen. Warren. Conservative influencer Sarah Smith commented, “Elizabeth Warren is a Soros puppet!” alluding to Elon Musk’s declaration that Soros was a significant financier of ActBlue. Musk stated, “ActBlue is presently under investigation for permitting foreign and illegal contributions in blatant violation of campaign finance laws.”
