Jake and Erin Herrin welcomed Siamese twins Kendra and Malia in 2002. While overjoyed, they worried about their future. After four years, they chose to separate the girls to help them live independently.

The surgery in 2006, involving 31 doctors, was a success, and the twins quickly learned to walk and run on their own. Now 18, Kendra and Malia thrive in school, showcase their artistic talents, and are admired by peers as heroes.

They have completed driving school, maintain a popular YouTube channel and social media presence, and support fellow Siamese twins Kelly and Carter as their family considers separation options.
