WATCH: Tom Homan Snaps Back At Selena Gomez After Hysterical Breakdown Over Deportations

Homan Responds to Selena Gomez’s Emotional Plea

Border Czar Tom Homan addressed Selena Gomez’s emotional reaction during a Fox News segment on Monday. He stated he feels “no remorse” and remains committed to strict immigration enforcement. Shortly after gaining widespread attention, a video of Gomez tearfully criticizing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies was removed.

Gomez’s Emotional Appeal

In the video, Gomez expressed her distress: “All my people are getting attacked. The children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do.” A Mexican flag emoji appeared on the screen alongside her words. Despite her plea, Homan stood firm on border security measures.

Social Media Backlash

Gomez, a vocal advocate for immigration reform, faced criticism online. Many accused her of being out of touch with border security realities. In response, she posted on her Instagram Story, “Apparently, it’s not okay to show empathy for people.”

Homan Defends Border Policies

During his Fox News interview, Homan dismissed claims that immigration enforcement disproportionately targets families. “I don’t think we arrested any families,” he said. “We’ve arrested public safety threats and national security threats, bottom line. And look, President Trump won the election on this one issue—securing our border and saving lives.”

Homan stressed the urgency of border security. “In the past four years, over two million known gotaways have crossed the southern border. We’ve seen a 600% rise in sex trafficking, record numbers of terrorists entering from the watch list, and 250,000 Americans dead from fentanyl smuggled through open borders.”

No Apologies, Just Action

Despite celebrity backlash, Homan vowed to continue enforcement. “We’re going to do this job,” he asserted. “This operation will move forward, no apologies. Our goal is a safer community. When we secure the border, fentanyl deaths, crimes by illegal immigrants, and sex trafficking will decline. This is for the nation’s benefit, and we will not stop.”

Trump Administration’s Firm Immigration Stance

Since January 20, the Trump administration has strengthened immigration policies. The “Remain in Mexico” program was reinstated, requiring asylum seekers to stay outside the U.S. while their claims are processed. The administration also ended Biden’s CBP One app and ramped up deportations.

Public support remains strong. Surveys from The New York Times and Fox News indicate most Americans back deporting criminals and gang members. Federal agencies, including the DEA and ATF, now work more closely with ICE to enforce these measures.

Large-Scale Deportations Continue

Despite opposition from Gomez and other Hollywood figures, the administration remains resolute. The focus is on large-scale deportations, targeting the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
