Donald Trump’s recent executive order labeled ‘cruel and petty’ as pieces are removed from national monument website
Many of Donald Trump’s executive orders have been temporarily blocked due to potential violations of the 1946 Administrative Procedure Act (APA). The APA requires federal agencies to follow procedural steps, including public notice and comment, before implementing regulations.
Trump has signed over 50 executive orders since taking office, but courts have halted several, questioning their compliance with the APA. If an order is deemed “arbitrary and capricious,” it can be challenged and delayed.
Even if blocked, Trump’s orders can be appealed up to the Supreme Court. This legal hurdle limits the immediate enforcement of his policies, proving that signing an order doesn’t guarantee it becomes law. Many of Trump’s executive actions now face judicial scrutiny.
