Trump accuses ‘the Radical Left Lunatics’ of ‘trying to criminally and collusively boycott Tesla’ on his social media platform, Truth Social, as the electric carmaker’s value has fallen by half in only three months.

Why has Trump bought a Tesla?

Trump continued to refer to Tesla as Musk’s “baby” in his Truth Social post, adding that he intended to purchase one of the vehicles as a gesture of support for Musk in the face of the purported “boycott.”

He wrote: “In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???”
