Have you ever been seated in an odd spot in a restaurant? A Texas family at a Texas Roadhouse in Flower Mound once found themselves unable to sit at an empty booth—until they looked closer.

The booth was set for five with U.S. and Texas flags nearby. A framed note explained the reserved table honored the “Dallas 5,” police officers tragically killed in a July 7, 2016 ambush. The victims, remembered with gratitude, included:

– Senior Cpl. Lorne Ahrens, 48
– Officer Michael Krol, 40
– Sgt. Michael Smith, 55
– Officer Brent Thomas, 43
– Officer Patrick Zamarripa, 32

That day, the restaurant also donated 5% of its sales to the Dallas Police Association’s Assistance Foundation for fallen officers. It was a heartfelt tribute to those who served bravely.
