Others are from the nudist clubs from around the country. It\u2019s a very eclectic group of people, from old hippies, to traditional nudist to even a few who may been there for couples with benefits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Operated by Bare Necessities, this unique journey has captured attention after a passenger shared their insider experience during a Q&amp;A, leaving people eager to know more.<\/p>\n<p>Now, a woman who works for the company behind the nude cruise has opened up about what it\u2019s really like to be part of it. Kat Whitmire, Vice President of Sales for Bare Necessities Tour and Travel, shares her unique perspective on working for this one-of-a-kind experience.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-41993\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-stories.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/04\/01104940\/kate3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"451\" height=\"538\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Facebook\/Kat Whitmire<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201dI\u2019m a cruise organizer for Bare Necessities Tour and\u00a0Travel, a nudist-cruise company,\u201d she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/nude-cruise-line-cruise-worker-describes-job-2023-4?r=US&amp;IR=T\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">told<\/a>\u00a0Business Insider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dI spend all year as part of a team planning our two cruises: a February trip aboard our Big Nude Boat, a large cruise ship that has 2,100 passengers, and a smaller cruise in the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kat has always had a passion for cruising, volunteering on various ships over the years. She joined Bare Necessities in 2010 and now plays a key role in ensuring maximum sales for their nudist cruises.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about her typical day, Kat explains, \u201dFor each cruise, I create schedules so our staffers know when they need to man the information booth, perform \u2018dinner duty\u2019 to make sure guests comply with the dress code, and join the dance club at night to make sure things go smoothly.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-forming-deep-friendships\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forming deep friendships<\/h2>\n<p>As Vice President of Sales, Kat also coordinates excursions at each port of call.<\/p>\n<p>While the nudist aspect of the cruise is often sexualized, Kat is adamant about separating it from any misconceptions, keeping the focus on creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience for guests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dTo us, being nude is not sexual or anything to be ashamed of,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dNudism is about leaving judgment behind. When you\u2019re not wearing clothes, you can\u2019t immediately tell someone\u2019s economic status or how they vote; you have to talk to them to find out who they are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dOur guests form deep friendships that I don\u2019t think form as readily on a textile cruise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201dWe\u2019re not a swingers\u2019 cruise. This is not lifestyle travel. All restaurants required you to be dressed, and even a few couples were formal, including some tuxedos. The buffet was clothing optional, with most all guests with something on from the waist down. I did find having fully naked people in the buffet line a bit cringe-worthy. So when did we get nude? About half the passengers could be found sunning on deck, in the pools or hot tubs on sea days, all were nude. On NCL\u2019s private island, all again nude. At dance parties, nothing like dancing without restrictions except for some accessories, and yeah, LED night was luminous. There was even a nudist musical couple from France that performed on two nights of the dance party!
