Which is to say you have to be extremely,\u00a0<em>extremely\u00a0<\/em>unlucky to have it happen to you.<\/p>\n<p>But, of course, it\u2019s not impossible. Technically, every time there\u2019s a storm there\u2019s a minute chance of someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time and being hit by lightning. It threw me up in the air, I see the ceiling, it slams me back down, a ball of fire comes through the room and blinds me. I am burning. I am on fire. I am\u00a0paralyzed.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>But here\u2019s where it gets really interesting\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Brinkley can recall actually leaving his body after the horrifying incident, and he didn\u2019t return to it until\u00a0<em>after\u00a0<\/em>it had been taken to the morgue\u2026 some 28 minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>So what happened while he was away? Well, it didn\u2019t all just fade to black, apparently. In fact, he\u2019s since spoken about the traumatic experience to offer insight into exactly \u201cwhat happens when you die\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Brinkley recalled that he had the feeling of floating along with the ambulance as it transported his body to hospital, while he watched from above his body as doctors pronounced him officially dead.<\/p>\n<p>He added that his consciousness journeyed through what he described as a tunnel, before encountering a\u00a0spiritual\u00a0being formed of light in a \u2018Crystal City\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an interview with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sfObAQI6Kcw&amp;ab_channel=T%26H-Afterlife\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">T&amp;H \u2013 Afterlife<\/a>\u00a0on YouTube, Brinkley said that he witnessed a replay of his entire life in a \u2018360 degree panorama\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou watch it from a second person point of view,\u201d\u00a0he explained.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"This NDE Will Leave You Speechless - Dannion Brinkley Struck By Lightning &amp; Visits City In Heaven\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sfObAQI6Kcw?feature=oembed\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIn the life you just reviewed, what difference did you and God make?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, Brinkley has his skeptics, but to this day he\u2019s stuck to his word regarding his experience. Not only that, but he\u2019s actually had two other near-death experiences to help shore up his beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>In 1989, while undergoing open heart surgery, Brinkley recalled being \u201creunited with his angelic instructors\u201d, and said he learned how to \u201cuse his new psychic and spiritual gifts to aid the dying and the desperate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then underwent another near-death experience while having brain surgery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you learn you don\u2019t die, when you learn you\u2019re a spiritual being, you\u2019re not going to go to hell, that\u2019s enough to inspire you to change,\u201d he explained, per 8 News Now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you think happens after you die?
