He was on duty when he received a call about a baby that was\u00a0left in a car alone in a Walmart parking lot on a very hot day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">But he never in his mind would have imagined what would happen next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jason didn\u2019t hesitate to\u00a0rush to the scene as soon as he got the call about the infant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI got there as soon as I could,\u201d he said in an interview with\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">WMUR<\/span>. \u201cI don\u2019t know how fast I was going, but it was quick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">At arrival, Jason could clearly see a baby wrapped in a blanket with its feet sticking out through the windows of the car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It was a very hot day and Jason had no idea how long the baby had been there. He broke the window open with his baton to rescue the child.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-b7ba878c12f7e490d51608b2fb317093\" class=\"newsner-b7ba878c12f7e490d51608b2fb317093 newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"newsner-707471756\" class=\"newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jason gently carried the baby out of the car but feared it might already be dead. It looked lifeless and was\u00a0very pale, with a strange skin tone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A crowd soon gathered and Jason began performing CPR. An ambulance was called to the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">That\u2019s when Jason\u00a0realized something was not quite right. He began to feel something was very off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">That\u2019s when it dawned on him. What he held was in fact a\u00a0lifelike doll \u2014 and not a baby at all.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn1.newsner.com\/attachments\/images\/000\/290\/741\/newsner_default\/reborn.jpg?1501664150\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><span class=\"copyright\">\u00a9\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RebornSweet\/photos\/a.157099711131496.1073741830.155579544616846\/769615193213275\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Facebook\/Reborn,Sweet<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\">The doll\u2019s owner, Carolynne Seiffer, came back from her shopping spree to a broken car window and a crowd surrounding her USD\u00a0$2,000 doll, which she calls Ainsley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI\u2019ve been laughed at and embarrassed by all the fuss,\u201d she told\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">WMUR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to the\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">Washington Post<\/span>, Caroline owns about 40 of these lifelike dolls to help cope with the death of her son. Apparently, these very real looking dolls can work as a healing process for grief-stricken parents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cY<\/span>ou can\u2019t know how people choose to deal with their losses in life,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jason\u00a0was slightly embarrassed after\u00a0realizing he had rescued a doll, but says he has no regrets and more than anything, is relieved that it was not an actual baby.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI would never assume that it\u2019s a doll,\u201d he told\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">WMUR<\/span>. \u201cI would always assume that it\u2019s a child.
