Heartbreakingly, Metcalf bled to death in his twin brother\u2019s arms.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing. He is currently being held at Collin County Jail on a $1 million bond. As of yesterday, an opinion-splitting fundraiser for Anthony and his family \u201cduring this challenging and difficult time,\u201d had raised in excess of<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.givesendgo.com\/HelpKarmelo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u00a0$400,000<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his Anthony\u2019s bond hearing, scheduled for today, Monday, April 14, his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14604917\/austin-metcalf-suspect-court-date-texas-stabbing-death.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">family moved<\/a>\u00a0to retain Mike Howard, a Dallas criminal defense attorney.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-168124\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2025\/04\/14120406\/Skarmavbild-2025-04-14-kl.-14.00.56.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"696\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Karmelo Anthony. Cole., confirmed to\u00a0<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfaa.com\/article\/news\/crime\/frisco-track-meet-stabbing-teen-murder-suspect-retains-new-defense-attorney-karmelo-anthony-austin-metcalf-mike-howard\/287-4554eff1-5c71-4fa6-9f7f-6b0a22669ec3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">WFAA\u00a0<\/a>on Saturday that they will no longer be representing him.
