city where her ex-boyfriend&#8217;s family are based 200 miles from her home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Police reportedly found purchase receipts and spoke to Barbosa&#8217;s ex-partner as part of their investigation, who reportedly indicated that his ex might be involved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Cops also shared CCTV footage they said showed Barbosa shopping for chocolate eggs while wearing a black wig to cover her dyed blonde hair and dark sunglasses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">At the counter she is seen holding the box of luxury eggs and starts rummaging through her bag to find a payment card to use.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">In a statement at the Santa In\u00eas Regional Police Station, Barbosa reportedly confessed to having bought the chocolate, but denied having added poison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">However police and officials have insisted that there is sufficient evidence to point to Barbosa as the prime suspect in the alleged plot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Maur\u00edcio Martins, a security official in the region, told news outlet G1: &#8216;The evidence suggests, based on several points investigated, that the crime was motivated by revenge and jealousy, given that the author&#8217;s ex-husband is the current partner or boyfriend of the victim, who was poisoned along with her two children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;There are several indications that clearly point to this woman being the perpetrator of the crime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;The police will continue working to strengthen this evidence and present her to the Judiciary to answer for this barbaric crime.&#8217;<\/p>\n<div
