The vehicle, described as suddenly revving and going airborne, hit them without warning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of a sudden I heard this horrible screeching,\u201d Hall recalled to\u00a0Wales Online. \u201cThe next thing I saw was this white car flying through the air. I was hit and thrown into a parking bay. When I came to, I was on my hands and knees, and the first thing I saw was the pram underneath the car. There was chaos, people running everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three nurses rushed to Hall\u2019s side, lifting him up as he struggled to stand. But his only concern was Mabli.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody could find her,\u201d he said. \u201cThen I saw someone walking past me holding Mabli\u2019s lifeless body. With no space on the helicopter, Hall and Mabli\u2019s mother endured a harrowing 100-mile journey in the back of a police car.<\/p>\n<p>Hours passed before they were allowed to see her. \u201cWe kept asking if she was going to be OK, but no one could say,\u201d Hall said. \u201cThen around 3 a.m., a doctor came in and sat down. He said it was very unlikely she would survive. As soon as I heard that, I was sick everywhere. It was the most horrific thing a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/parent\/\">parent<\/a>\u00a0could hear. We didn\u2019t want to believe it. It was brutal.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-2124276255\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-d364d13464b53cd1b245e18f59f9c767\" class=\"newsner-d364d13464b53cd1b245e18f59f9c767 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>Within days, Hall lost both his daughter and his mother.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t be there when my mam died, and I had nothing to do with her funeral,\u201d he said. \u201cThat was all taken from me. The pain and trauma, it\u2019s more than I can process or put into words.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In September 2024, Bridget Curtis pleaded guilty to causing Mabli\u2019s death by dangerous driving. She was sentenced to four years in prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe\u2019re grateful to the judge for giving us justice,\u201d Hall said following the sentencing. \u201cIt\u2019s a relief that the court process is over, and that Bridget Curtis is losing a part of her life. But nothing really changes for us. We are still in hell, surviving day by day.
