I had to put myself on tape and send in my audition just like everybody else.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She went on to explain how she faced similar struggles when auditioning for White Lotus.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<section class=\"ad_outer_main\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sw\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sub\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\">&#8220;It was the same for White Lotus. They didn&#8217;t think that I was right for White Lotus, because I did Euphoria. So I put myself on tape, I auditioned for White Lotus just like everybody else and had a call back like everybody else.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I could get offered roles that are similar to the ones that I&#8217;ve played, but the ones that are different, the ones that surprise people that I do, are the ones that I usually have to fight for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<section class=\"ad_outer_main\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sw\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sub\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\">Although she had to convince casting directors to see beyond her HBO role, Sweeney\u2019s\u00a0risqu\u00e9 scenes\u00a0in Euphoria made it hard for some of her family members to even watch the show.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist, Sweeney revealed how her family reacted to her role in the show.<\/p>\n<p>While her mom was more aware of the storyline, some family members, including her dad, were caught off guard.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article_image_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.tbdcdn.com\/uploads\/2024\/09\/28\/106649-thatviralfeed.com-large-595519.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"article_image_credits\"><span class=\"article_image_credits_caption\">The actress plays Cassie Howard in Euphoria<\/span><span class=\"article_image_credits_credits\">HBO<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<section class=\"ad_outer_main\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sw\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sub\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\">&#8220;My mom visited me on set at the time, so she knew the story and I talked to her a lot about it\u2014my dad didn&#8217;t,&#8221; she admitted. &#8220;Yeah, I didn&#8217;t prepare my dad. At all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Because of this, her dad ended up watching the show without much of a heads-up\u2014and with some other family members. He had no idea what was coming.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I mean, how do you bring it up in conversation?&#8221; she joked. &#8220;And also, when I talk to my dad, it&#8217;s usually not about work.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<section class=\"ad_outer_main\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sw\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sub\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\">&#8220;We talk, like, father-daughter conversations. He decided he was going to watch it, without telling me, with his parents.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As you might expect, not everyone stuck around for the whole thing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out,&#8221; Sweeney shared.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<section class=\"ad_outer_main\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sw\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sub\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\">&#8220;But my grandma is a big supporter of mine. She&#8217;s a big fan of mine.
