That\u2019s not true.\u2019 So he\u2019s pushing it away, hoping that it would go away \u2014 and it didn\u2019t go away,\u201d Prevost divulged.<\/p>\n<p>The pope\u2019s brother also recalled the exact moment he found out about the news \u2014 he was reading a book when a text came through \u2014 \u201cThere was a white smoke.\u201d He hurried to turn on the television and called his niece.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just sat there and watched it,\u201d he recounted. \u201cThen she said, \u2018Look, the curtains are moving.\u2019 I said, \u2018Well, something\u2019s coming up.\u2019\u201d When the announcement was made, his niece screamed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018Oh my gosh, here we go.\u2019 And then it has been nonstop \u2014 phones, everything else,\u201d remarked Prevost.
