Intellectual abilities among individuals with autism vary widely, underscoring the complexity of the condition.<\/p>\n<p>The recent study emphasizes the importance of the maternal microbiome\u2014the community of bacteria present in a pregnant woman\u2019s body\u2014and its potential influence on a child\u2019s neurodevelopment.
