He is alleged to have a net worth of $760 million. Several years ago, the Houston Chronicle found out that he had been living in a $7 million mega-mansion tax-free. Copeland lives in an 18,000-square-foot home with six bedrooms and six bathrooms in an exclusive lake community outside Fort Wort<\/p>\n<p>This luxurious mansion, Copeland\u2019s primary residence, is built on one acre of land and surrounded by a 24-acre lakefront tract. According to the Chronicle, it has an \u201cextraordinarily low\u201d value of $1250,000. Because of this low valuation, Copeland\u2019s Eagle Mountain International Church\u2014founded in 1967 and which technically owns the home\u2014pays less than $3,000 a year in property taxes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9221018705729438\" data-ad-slot=\"1566954572\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\" data-ad-status=\"unfilled\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"aswift_4_host\"><\/div>\n<p><\/ins><\/div>\n<p>The extremely low value was agreed upon by the Tarrant Appraisal District in Fort Worth as part of a dispute resolution agreement with the church. However, real estate experts said that the waterfront property in an open market would actually sell for millions. Copeland has claimed the mansion as a \u201cclergy residence,\u201d and so the home qualified for a 100% tax break.<\/p>\n<p>Under normal circumstances, Copeland would otherwise have an annual property tax exceeding $150,000. Kenneth Copeland,\u00a0who\u2019s\u00a0been married three times and named his ministry after himself, has previously said that when people drive by his house,\u00a0\u201cthey will know there is a God.\u201d\u00a0HE delivered this line in a speech he gave at his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dxvfk5oif5Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2015 Southwest\u00a0Believers\u2019\u00a0Convention in Fort Worth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At this convention, Copeland claimed that he began\u00a0the process ofbuilding the palatial estate when God told him years earlier to build a dream home that his wife, Gloria, had described to him.\u00a0\u201cMinister this house to her,\u201d\u00a0he quoted.\u00a0\u201cIt is part of your prosperity.\u201d\u00a0Gloria selected a three-story estate with long white columns in front. The massive home also features a tennis court, two garages, and a covered boat dock with three slips, all located on the shores of Eagle Lake.<\/p>\n<p>The televangelist said \u201cYou may think that house is too big. You may think it\u2019s too grand. I don\u2019t care what you think. I heard from heaven. Glory to God, hallelujah!\u2019\u201d The property was built in 1999 and \u201chas a sweeping spiral staircase and a bridge that spans across the living room and connects the two sides of the house,\u201d according to a 2011 report by the US Senate Finance Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The mansion \u201calso has crystal chandeliers and, according to Gloria Copeland, doors that \u2018came from a castle,\u2019 along with a \u2018huge drop-down ceiling projector and screen\u2019 in the bedroom.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m a very wealthy man,\u201d Copeland said in a May 2019 interview, during which she questioned him over his \u201cluxury\u201d lifestyle and refusal to travel on commercial airplanes. He responded \u201cIt takes a lot of money to do what we do.
