In a statement shared on X, the department clarified that Padilla had \u201cinterrupted a live press conference without revealing his identity,\u201d and noted that he \u201clunged toward\u201d Secretary Noem. In May, McIver reportedly burst into a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Newark, New Jersey. This act did not conclude with applause; rather, it culminated in an indictment.<\/p>\n<p>A federal grand jury has charged McIver with several offenses related to the incident at the ICE facility.
