Roman was indicted alongside Trump in the Georgia election interference case, which Willis initiated in 2023 and remains unresolved, according to Newsweek.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling signifies yet another setback for Fani Willis and her case against Trump and the other defendants, as noted by the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>In December, Willis was disqualified from prosecuting the case involving Trump and 18 other co-defendants, who are alleged to have conspired to overturn Joe Biden\u2019s 2020 victory in Georgia. Trump has denied the allegations and accused Willis of engaging in a politically motivated attack.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Court of Appeals determined that the disqualification was warranted due to the \u201cappearance of impropriety\u201d arising from Willis\u2019 prior relationship with Nathan Wade, a former special prosecutor on the case.
