Interestingly, women between the ages of 18 and 49 are more likely to experience this than men. But once you hit 60, it\u2019s men who start to feel the effects more. It\u2019s not just disrupting your sleep\u2014it might also mean you\u2019re missing out on essential REM sleep, which plays a key role in your mood, memory, and overall well-being.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-what-s-happening-when-you-wake-up-to-pee\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s happening when you wake up to pee?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Most of us know that waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom isn\u2019t ideal, but why does it happen?
