Fighter jets and a stealth bomber soared above the celebration as the U.S. Marine Band played patriotic tunes and pop hits\u2014a signature Trump flourish.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1761866\" data-uid=\"0a33f\">\n<div id=\"mgw1761866_0a33f\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"mgbox card-media\" data-template-type=\"container\">\n<div class=\"mgheader\">\n<p>Trump\u2019s political victory<br \/>\nWhat they\u2019re saying:<br \/>\n\u201cAmerica\u2019s winning, winning, winning like never before,\u201d Trump said at the ceremony, referencing last month\u2019s bombing campaign against Iran\u2019s nuclear program. \u201cPromises made, promises kept and we\u2019ve kept them.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\">\n<div id=\"trendsparknews.com_responsive_2\" data-google-query-id=\"CLjMx-yGuI4DFUtDpAQdaq8G-w\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23207117756\/trendsparknews.com\/trendsparknews.com_responsive_2_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Later, at an Iowa rally launching events for America\u2019s upcoming 250th birthday, Trump added, \u201cI want to thank Republican congressmen and women, because what they did is incredible.\u201d He also said Democrats opposed the bill \u201cbecause they hate Trump \u2014 but I hate them, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1761866\" data-uid=\"1592b\">\n<div id=\"mgw1761866_1592b\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"mgbox card-media\" data-template-type=\"container\">\n<div class=\"mgheader\">\n<p>Democrats were sharply critical of the law\u2019s cuts to social programs and deficit impact. \u201cI never thought that I\u2019d be on the House floor saying that this is a crime scene,\u201d said House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries during an eight-hour speech that delayed the bill\u2019s passage. \u201cIt\u2019s a crime scene, going after the health, and the safety, and the well-being of the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president complained that Democrats voted against the bill because \u201cthey hate Trump \u2014 but I hate them, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The other side:<br \/>\nDemocrats, meanwhile, were unanimous in their opposition, calling it a giveaway to the rich that will rob millions more lower-income people of their health insurance, food assistance and financial stability.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1761866\" data-uid=\"1486e\">\n<div id=\"mgw1761866_1486e\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"mgbox card-media\" data-template-type=\"container\">\n<div class=\"mgheader\">\n<p>\u201cI never thought that I\u2019d be on the House floor saying that this is a crime scene,\u201d Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York said during a record-breaking speech that delayed the bill\u2019s passage by eight-plus hours. \u201cIt\u2019s a crime scene, going after the health, and the safety, and the well-being of the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s in the \u2018big, beautiful\u2019 bill?<br \/>\nBy the numbers:<br \/>\nThe legislation extends Trump\u2019s 2017 multi-trillion dollar tax cuts and cuts Medicaid and food stamps by $1.2 trillion. It provides for a massive increase in immigration enforcement.
