Speaking with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2025\/04\/22\/Tv\/video\/sitroom-blitzer-brown-rosie-odennell-trump-ireland-autism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CNN<\/a>\u00a0at the time, she stated that she and her nonbinary child wouldn\u2019t be safe in the US anymore, and therefore decided to move to Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew after reading Project 2025 that if Trump got in, it was time for me and my nonbinary child to leave the country,\u201d she said. \u201cI have no regrets. Not a day has gone by that I thought it was the wrong decision. I was welcomed with open arms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rosie O\u2019Donnell and Donald Trump have clashed for many years. Back in 2006, while O\u2019Donnell was the host of\u00a0<em>The View<\/em>, she called Trump a \u201csnake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie,\u201d and said he went bankrupt, something Donald Trump said was not true.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-7efeb799495148919a5e15371b2c6b1d\" class=\"newsner-7efeb799495148919a5e15371b2c6b1d newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"newsner-353606519\" class=\"newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails\" class=\"trc_related_container tbl-trecs-container trc_spotlight_widget\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, Trump has called Rosie O\u2019Donnell many names over the years, including a \u201cpig\u201d and \u201cdumb.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After her words on Trump on\u00a0<em>The View<\/em>\u00a0in 2006, Trump answered, saying, \u201cYou can\u2019t make false statements. Rosie will rue the words she said. I\u2019ll most likely sue her for making those false statements \u2013 and it\u2019ll be fun. Rosie\u2019s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice, fat little Rosie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, Donald Trump has been quite provoked by Rosie O\u2019Donnell once again. However, this time it got pretty serious.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-donald-trump-threatens-to-revoke-rosie-o-donnell-s-citizenship\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Donald Trump threatens to revoke Rosie O\u2019Donnell\u2019s citizenship<\/h2>\n<p>On his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/114840552173805537\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Truth Social<\/a>\u00a0platform on Saturday, Donald Trump reignited his clash with O\u2019Donnell, stating that he was considering revoking her citizenship, even though she was born in the US.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of the fact that Rosie O\u2019Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,\u201d\u00a0Trump wrote. \u201cShe is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some months ago, Steve Vladeck, CNN Supreme Court analyst and professor at Georgetown Law, stated that the threat of \u201ccoercive expatriation\u201d was a \u201cpatently unconstitutional move.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor good reasons, it is difficult to denaturalize a U.S. citizen and even harder to expatriate one,\u201d Vladeck\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stevevladeck.com\/p\/146-denaturalization-and-expatriation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cCongress has provided for only a handful of circumstances in which the executive branch is empowered to pursue such a move; and the Supreme Court has recognized meaningful constitutional limits (and an entitlement to meaningful judicial review) even in those cases.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-rosie-o-donnell-claims-trump-is-a-danger-to-the-world\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rosie O\u2019Donnell claims Trump is a \u201cdanger to the world\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>So what did Rosie O\u2019Donnell think of Donald Trump and the threat of revoking her citizenship? It didn\u2019t take long until she responded. Writing on Instagram, the comedian and actress said, \u201cyou want to revoke my citizenship? go ahead and try, king joffrey with a tangerine spray tan. i\u2019m not yours to silence. i never was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Rosie O\u2019Donnell appeared on the Irish radio broadcaster RTE Radio 1 and further spoke about Trump\u2019s threat. She said the President of the United States is a \u201cdanger to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very proud to be opposed to every single thing he says and does and represents. I think he\u2019s a racist and he\u2019s misogynistic and he\u2019s sexist,\u201d O\u2019Donnell said and continued to explain her thoughts on the threat about getting her citizenship taken away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know he can\u2019t do that, but the Supreme Court has given him unbridled powers, and who knows what he can and can\u2019t do,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe shouldn\u2019t be allowed to be doing what he is to immigrants in the United States without due process, but he\u2019s doing it anyway.
