It involves someone with a penis standing on the roof of a car, with their lower half sticking out through the open sunroof. Meanwhile, their partner stays inside the car and performs oral sex.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The name \u2018hamstering\u2019 comes from the way it apparently resembles a hamster sipping from a water bottle spout in its cage. It\u2019s a bizarre mental image, but one that explains the name pretty clearly.<\/p>\n<p>While some folks on TikTok seem amused and curious, others are joking about getting ready to surprise their partners or make sure no one\u2019s watching before giving it a try.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\">Even though it doesn\u2019t seem like the most practical thing to do, this odd trend has definitely caught on\u2014at least as an idea people are talking about.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zachary Zane, a writer and sex columnist, admitted he had serious doubts that anyone was actually doing this before it went viral online.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI had never heard of this position before last week.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he admitted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/hamstering-spicy-tiktok-trend-people-may-actually-be-trying\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to<\/a>\u00a0Mashable.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<section class=\"ad_outer_main\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sw\">\n<div class=\"ad_outer_sub\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\"><em>\u201cBut I bet you a few very adventurous people are now trying it out and seeing if it\u2019s feasible.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zane pointed out that while it might technically be possible to pull off, a lot would depend on things like the person\u2019s height, weight, and how strong their core is while trying to stay balanced on top of a car.<\/p>\n<p>Sex educators and podcast hosts Amy Baldwin and April Lampert agreed. They added that the person giving oral would probably end up in a position that\u2019s awkward and physically tough to hold.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article_image_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.tbdcdn.com\/uploads\/2025\/07\/21\/108488-thatviralfeed.com-large-606097.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"article_image_credits\"><span class=\"article_image_credits_caption\">Inspired by the setup of car dates, which TikTok has already popularized, hamstering pushes boundaries further.<\/span><span class=\"article_image_credits_credits\">Adobe Stock<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"atd_pages\">\n<article class=\"atd\"><em>\u201cThe giver will likely have to contort their body and their neck in a way that may be really uncomfortable and unsustainable.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0they said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They suggested that taking breaks might actually be necessary to finish, which sort of takes away from the idea of it being pleasurable. It seems more like a stunt than something intimate.<\/p>\n<p>Honestly, hamstering doesn\u2019t really come off as some wild new sexual breakthrough.
