He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ozzy made an unexpected appearance at the closing ceremony of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games after having to postpone performances due to his illness. Earlier this month, he performed the Black Sabbath classics at a\u00a0<strong>\u201cfarewell\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0show in his hometown at Villa Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cYou\u2019ve no idea how I feel \u2013 thank you from the bottom of my heart,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Ozzy told delighted concert-goers in Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, as well as Ozzy\u2019s wife Sharon, are left behind. In addition, his grandkids and Jessica and Louis, from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley, survive him.<\/p>\n<p>Ozzy has been receiving tributes from all sides, including his childhood soccer team, Aston Villa.<\/p>\n<p>They penned in a statement posted to Twitter:\u00a0<strong>\u201cAston Villa Football Club is saddened to learn that world-renowned rockstar and Villan, Ozzy Osbourne has passed away.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cGrowing up in Aston, not far from Villa Park, Ozzy always held a special connection to the club and the community he came from.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe thoughts of everyone at Aston Villa are with his wife Sharon, his family, friends, and countless fans at this extremely difficult time.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a quad bike accident in 2003, Ozzy suffered a fall in 2019 that loosened metal rods that had been inserted into his spine.<\/p>\n<p>After the incident, the legendary musician had many back surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Osbourne informed Rolling Stone that the\u00a0<strong>\u201csecond surgery\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0that was performed in 2023 went\u00a0<strong>\u201cdrastically wrong\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>\u201cvirtually left [him] crippled.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe title=\"Ozzy Osbourne has died at 76\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7bfxWe9f2-I?feature=oembed\" name=\"fitvid0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s really knocked me about.
