A joyful, loving two-year-old, her life was taken in the most horrific way.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Now, a 19-year-old man is in custody \u2014 after reportedly confessing to beating her.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-was-babysitting-ava\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was babysitting Ava<\/h2>\n<p>Little Ava Ann Marie Tabor, born on November 28, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas, was a bright and joyful two-year-old. She loved to dance, help in the kitchen, and filled every room with her radiant smile and sky-blue eyes.<\/p>\n<p>Her parents, Levi Landon James Tabor and Kylie Marie Perez, adored her more than anything. The family built their life in De Queen, Arkansas \u2014 but in early March, their world was shattered.<\/p>\n<p>That day, 19-year-old Wesley Davis was babysitting Ava \u2014 but something went terribly wrong.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sevier County Sheriff Robert Gentry, Davis was watching her at a home in Lockesburg, Arkansas, when he called for medical help after she became unresponsive.<\/p>\n<p>He was later taken into custody after reportedly confessing to beating Ava.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-mom-s-emotional-farewell\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mom\u2019s emotional farewell<\/h2>\n<p>Ava was rushed to Arkansas Children\u2019s Hospital in Little Rock, but despite the doctors\u2019 best efforts, her young life could not be saved. On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Ava took her final breath, leaving behind a grief-stricken family and community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur very last time holding our baby\u2026 After two years of putting you to bed, making your bottles, playing with you, waking you up, taking you bye-bye, and listening to your mini concerts in the car\u2026 I\u2019ll never get to do that again. And he [Davis] deserves every bad thing that\u2019s coming to him. And I will not stop until he gets it.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-there-have-been-death-threats\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">There have been death threats<\/h2>\n<p>Sheriff Robert Gentry acknowledged the deep impact this case has had on the community, with emotions running high in the wake of Ava\u2019s tragic death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been death threats, and we have had threats of bodily injuries and harm to Mr. Davis,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-1725748602\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Authorities are now urging the public to let the legal system take its course, emphasizing that justice will be served through the courts.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-165939\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2025\/03\/12074333\/wesley13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"313\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sevier County Sheriff\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cShe didn\u2019t deserve what happened to her, and we are going to do our best to see that the judicial system takes care of the one that harmed her,\u201d Sevier County Sheriff Robert Gentry told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksla.com\/2025\/03\/06\/19-year-old-accused-beating-2-year-old-girl-death-makes-court-appearance-childs-mother-calls-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KSLA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a final act of kindness, Ava\u2019s family chose to donate her organs, giving others a chance at life.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, KSLA reports that arrangements have been made to honor the little girl\u2019s memory.
