Writing in the bombshell memoir, the Duke of Sussex discussed his brother and sister-in-law\u2019s reaction to Meghan\u2019s past.<\/p>\n

\u201cI casually mentioned that there was\u2026 a new woman in my life. They surged forward. \u2018Who is she?\u2019\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s an actress. \u2018Oh?\u2019 She\u2019s American. \u2018Oh.\u2019 On a show called Suits. Their mouths fell open. They turned to each other. Then Willy turned to me and said: \u2018F*** off?\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was reportedly \u2018baffled\u2019 by his brother\u2019s response, \u2018until Willy and Kate explained that they were regular \u2013 nay, religious \u2013 viewers\u2019 of the legal drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll this time I\u2019d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

The goodwill between the two couples was said to deteriorate in the lead-up to Harry and Meghan\u2019s wedding in May 2018.<\/p>\n

In Spare, Harry also shared about a now-infamous argument over bridesmaid dresses.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The father-of-two claimed that his wife-to-be and sister-in-law had a falling out over bridesmaid dresses for Kate\u2019s second-eldest, Princess Charlotte.<\/p>\n

He recalled Kate contacting Meghan just four days before the wedding to say that the dresses needed remaking.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeg didn\u2019t reply to Kate straight away,\u201d he wrote \u201cYes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father [Thomas Markle Snr had to undergo heart surgery and was unable to attend the wedding]. So the next morning she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by. This wasn\u2019t sufficient.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!\u201d<\/p>\n

To which Meghan snapped back: \u201cYes, Kate, I know\u2026 \u201d<\/p>\n
