This condition is life-threatening for the baby and many infants have a short life expectancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-more-common-in-males\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018More common in males\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>For Foster, her fears of Potter syndrome started at 17, when she tragically lost her first child to at just 20 weeks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-anno-skip google-anno-sc\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\" aria-label=\"Will preparation services\" data-google-vignette=\"false\" data-google-interstitial=\"false\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cMy thought at that time was, \u2018Well, if God is going to take my son, He will take me too!\u201d Foster shared in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/amanda.douglas.9809\/posts\/1395668491749289?ref=embed_post\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0post, explaining her grief over losing her first son, Xavier. \u201cIt didn\u2019t work out that way, and I developed a deep resentment and anger toward God. If that wasn\u2019t enough, I was later told it was very unlikely I would ever have a healthy baby boy since Potter syndrome is more common in males.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foster and her husband Kyle later welcomed two healthy daughters, and then the couple had their first son, baby Jay in August 2022.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post fb_iframe_widget\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=998730188109790&amp;set=a.100673637915454\" data-show-text=\"true\" data-width=\"500\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" title=\"fb:post Facebook Social Plugin\" src=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/v18.0\/plugins\/post.php?app_id=&amp;channel=https%3A%2F%2Fstaticxx.facebook.com%2Fx%2Fconnect%2Fxd_arbiter%2F%3Fversion%3D46%23cb%3Dfac4c9725c6cf3621%26domain%3Dmodishtips.com%26is_canvas%3Dfalse%26origin%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fmodishtips.com%252Ffcaee92c540de2914%26relation%3Dparent.parent&amp;container_width=0&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto%2F%3Ffbid%3D998730188109790%26set%3Da.100673637915454&amp;locale=en_US&amp;sdk=joey&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" name=\"f615994479c98c79f\" width=\"500px\" height=\"1000px\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-testid=\"fb:post Facebook Social Plugin\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"h-pray-over-kyler\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Pray over Kyler\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Fast forward to today and the mother of three is again pregnant with another boy, who they\u2019re calling Kyler.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-anno-skip google-anno-sc\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\" aria-label=\"Will preparation services\" data-google-vignette=\"false\" data-google-interstitial=\"false\"><\/div>\n<p>But early in this pregnancy, doctors found a serious heart defect \u2013 an aortic septum abnormality that could threaten his life.<\/p>\n<p>As she approached her end of May scan in her high-risk pregnancy, Foster writes in a Facebook post that \u201ceach time before ultrasounds I\u2019ve dropped to my knees right in the doctor\u2019s office to pray over Kyler.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my prayers for him I\u2019ve asked the lord repeatedly to please keep his hand on my baby and whatever his plan may be to help me trust fully in it at ease.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-hand-on-her-baby\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Hand\u2019 on her baby<\/h2>\n<p>Joining her at the appointment was her daughter Bailey \u2013 who she hoped would ease the nerves that had followed her through this pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>But the nerves quickly turned to shock when the young girl noticed something peculiar in the image.<\/p>\n<p>She adds that the sight of the hand allegedly supporting Kyler\u2019s head brought her to \u201ctears\u201d over \u201call [God] has and continues to do for me. Today they monitored his practice breathing. All together his measurements are a week and a half ahead. His heart rate was 132 today. His sweet little face, I cannot wait to have him in my arms!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Amanda Foster, this ultrasound is more than just an image.
