She and her husband, Don Starr, had purchased a large cedar chest to store toys \u2013 little did they anticipate the heartbreaking it would bring about.<\/p>\n<p>Sadie explained how she had been at work when her husband put the couple\u2019s children to\u00a0<a class=\"google-anno\" href=\"https:\/\/modishtips.com\/archives\/16567#\" data-google-vignette=\"false\" data-google-interstitial=\"false\">\u00a0<span class=\"google-anno-t\">bed<\/span><\/a>. When Sadie returned, she checked on her little ones herself before having dinner and retiring for the night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFriday night the weird place they decided to snuggle up and go back to sleep was in their cedar toy chest that we use to store all their stuffed animals.. So as they slept, all snuggled up together, they\u00a0slowly ran out of oxygen\u00a0within a couple of hours and passed away. They never even knew it was happening. There was no sudden gasp for air, it was a very slow transition from sleep to passing on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When the family awoke on Saturday, they found the twins missing from their beds. Ultimately, it was one of their siblings who discovered them in the toy chest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMommy I found them!\u201d Sadie recalled him saying. \u201cThey are so silly just sleeping in the toy box.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sadie\u2019s post reads: \u201cI ran in to check and within a few seconds I knew something wasn\u2019t right, but I also quickly realized it was already too late\u2026 It makes no sense to me and never will\u2026 I hope knowing this helps in some way, and I hope if you have a toy box like this that you destroy it immediately!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-175142 lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2025\/09\/01071500\/Screenshot-2025-09-01-at-09.14.46.png?resize=658%2C686&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"658\" height=\"686\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2025\/09\/01071500\/Screenshot-2025-09-01-at-09.14.46.png?resize=658%2C686&amp;ssl=1\" data-eio-rwidth=\"658\" data-eio-rheight=\"686\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Sadie\u2019s husband Don, meanwhile, held off on detailing his heartbreak for a time, in the forlorn hope that it was all a bad dream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI guess I was waiting to make sure this isn\u2019t an extremely long, specifically horrific nightmare. But since it\u2019s just getting harder everyday and it seems pretty public now anyhow, here goes: My beautiful family was\u00a0stricken by tragedy\u00a0\u2014 the loss of our beautiful perfect twins,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/don.starr.52\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">he wrote.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease send all of the love, strength and good energy you can muster up to Sadie, my beautiful big boys and me \u2014 and of course the rest of the family, who have been a rock for us and are more loved and appreciated than I can express,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHug and kiss those kids for me \u2014 even the grown-up ones.
