He was found in possession of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/abuse\/?page=2\">extreme pornography<\/a>\u00a0of genital mutilation.<\/p>\n<p>49-year-old Hopper has now pleaded guilty to two charges of fraud. For making two fraudulent claims to two insurance companies totaling about \u00a3466,653.81 (about $620,000) made to two insurance companies in regards to the amputation of his legs due to injury. While in reality, the amputation was due to self-inflicted injury.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-6e6a3ff003d3a4c68a12715b31270680\" class=\"newsner-6e6a3ff003d3a4c68a12715b31270680 newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"newsner-88167804\" class=\"newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails\" class=\"trc_related_container tbl-trecs-container trc_spotlight_widget trc_elastic trc_elastic_thumbnails-mid\" data-placement-name=\"Mid Article Thumbnails\">\n<div class=\"trc_rbox_container\">\n<div id=\"trc_wrapper_744117535\" class=\"trc_rbox thumbnails-mid trc-content-sponsored\">\n<div class=\"trc_clearer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He has also admitted to three charges of possessing extreme pornographic images, which are related to videos published on a website called EunuchMaker run by Marius Gustavson, which depict extreme genital mutiliation.<\/p>\n<p>He also admitted three charges of possessing extreme pornographic images, relating to videos by a website called the EunuchMaker run by Marius Gustavson, which depicted genital mutilation.<\/p>\n<p>Gustavson has been handed a sentence of at least 22 years in prison himself as of last year. He was known for mutilating paying customers and streaming the process online for \u2018a mix of sexual gratification as well as financial reward\u2019,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-london-68977469\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according<\/a>\u00a0to the BBC News in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the fraud, Hopper is said to have caused the self-inflicted injury \u2018for sexual gratification\u2019.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-567963967\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\">\n<div id=\"ad-modul_intext_175528_1\" class=\"ad-space\" data-google-query-id=\"CKzn0YflwY8DFelGHQkdTNQE2Q\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/125128856\/en_newsner_com\/modul_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-b6546ad1af9382a54de69ba9e9460d53\" class=\"newsner-b6546ad1af9382a54de69ba9e9460d53 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>The judge said in the case, \u201cYou were admitted to hospital when you have the symptoms of sepsis well knowing what the medics will be looking out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou were in hospital for six weeks and after many tests and a variety of treatments the medics decided your feet could not be saved and they amputated on May 17 [2019].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The judge went on to say in his judgment, \u201cYou subsequently made fraudulent insurance claims to Aviva and Old Mutual Wealth, receiving a total of \u00a3466,000 fraudulently by representing that the injuries were organic, caused by sepsis, when you caused the injury seemingly at least in part for sexual gratification.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Nicholas Lee was in agreement and said that Hopper\u2019s amputation was \u2018a combination of obsession with removing parts of his own body and a sexual interest in doing so\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt seems to have been a long-standing ambition of his,\u201d Lee observed.<\/p>\n<p>Before he had his own legs removed, as an NHS surgeon, Hopper had carried out hundreds of amputations as part of his work, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c5yvpx20le2o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He returned to his job less than six months after his amputation. But it was in December 2023 that he was suspended from work, and in March 2023 when he was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/arrest\/\">arrested<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He was identified after an investigation into Gustavson, with whom he is said to have exchanged 1,500 messages about his lower leg amputation and how he would have done it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-c37bd68015a55c6a8c64aa04aa229068\" class=\"newsner-c37bd68015a55c6a8c64aa04aa229068 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>What do you think of this story?
