Spencer Cox said. \u201cA family member of Tyler Robinson reached out to a family friend who contacted the Washington County Sheriff\u2019s Office with information that Robinson had confessed to them or implied that he had committed the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInvestigators interviewed a family member of Robinson who stated that Robinson had become more political in recent years. They talked about why they didn\u2019t like him and the viewpoints that he had,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-suspect-in-charlie-kirk-killing-is-not-cooperating-says-utah-governor\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suspect in Charlie Kirk killing is \u201cnot cooperating,\u201d says Utah Governor<\/h2>\n<p>Now, the investigation into the killing of Charlie Kirk is underway. Authorities are doing their best to map Robinson\u2019s movements and determine the motive. Sadly, on Sunday, while appearing on several morning talk shows, Fox said that Robinson is not cooperating.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [Robinson] has not confessed to authorities. He is not cooperating, but all the people around him are cooperating. And I think that\u2019s very important,\u201d Cox told ABC News\u2019\u00a0<em>This Week<\/em>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Cox added that Robinson\u2019s roommate, who claimed to also be his romantic partner, and his family are cooperating.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-df579cdd625fbff6baac893cd85bce07\" class=\"newsner-df579cdd625fbff6baac893cd85bce07 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThis partner has been incredibly cooperative, had no idea that this was happening and is working with investigators right now,\u201d Cox added, but declined to speculate whether the relationship was connected to the motive.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on CNN\u2019s\u00a0<em>State of the Union<\/em>, Cox was asked whether the roommate\u2019s gender identity was relevant to the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what we\u2019re trying to figure out right now. \u2026 It\u2019s easy to draw conclusions from that, and so we\u2019ve got the shell casings, other forensic evidence that is coming in \u2014 and trying to piece all of those things together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie Kirk\u2019s family.
