She became known worldwide for her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees, which completely transformed our understanding of them.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, during a stop on her speaking tour across California, the legendary British scientist died of natural causes, the Jane Goodall Institute announced Wednesday,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Jane Goodall Institute has learned this morning, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, that Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, UN Messenger of Peace and Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, has passed away due to natural causes,\u201d the organization wrote on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPRn2HTCFYt\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-39035f69920af689f60a328a5c5271bb\" class=\"newsner-39035f69920af689f60a328a5c5271bb newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"newsner-225824915\" class=\"newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails\" class=\"trc_related_container tbl-trecs-container trc_spotlight_widget\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Jane Goodall has been outspoken about many subjects throughout her life, and in recent years, one of those subjects has been the President of the United States,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a>. However, the statements she\u2019s made about him have not been that charming.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in 2016, during Donald\u2019s first presidential campaign, Goodall drew a comparison between him and the monkeys she had studied, saying, \u201cIn many ways the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-jane-goodall-shared-her-true-feelings-on-donald-trump\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jane Goodall shared her true feelings on Donald Trump<\/h2>\n<p>She told the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/magazine\/archive\/2016\/10\/who-will-win\/497561\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Atlantic<\/a>, \u201cIn order to impress rivals, males seeking to rise in the dominance hierarchy perform spectacular displays: stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, throwing rocks. The more vigorous and imaginative the display, the faster the individual is likely to rise in the hierarchy, and the longer he is likely to maintain that position.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jane Goodall\u2019s remarks on who then was a presidential candidate created a lot of stir at the time. But she wasn\u2019t done.<\/p>\n<p>Years later, in an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xXqVOVEW1iM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">interview<\/a>\u00a0with MSNBC in 2022, she was reminded of her past comments. As the host, Ari Melber, played a clip of Trump hugging and kissing the American flag, calling himself a \u201cperfect physical specimen,\u201d the scientist was at it again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI see the same sort of behaviour as a male chimpanzee will show when he is competing for dominance with another,\u201d Jane Goodall said and laughed. \u201cThey\u2019re upright, they swagger, they project themselves as really more large and aggressive than they may actually be in order to intimidate their rivals,\u201d Goodall added.<\/p>\n<p>She continued with a comment about her view of the state of the US, saying, \u201cI see that the divisiveness that\u2019s being created in America is a tragedy and it is a tragedy that can have a ripple effect around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you think of this?
