They described the artists as \u2018pure magic\u2019 and a \u2018once-in-a-lifetime kind of human\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Loving Memory of Our Brother, Sam Rivers. Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat,\u201d Limp Bizkit\u00a0they wrote in the post on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DP-BwbbCQdT\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSam Rivers wasn\u2019t just our bass player \u2014 he was pure magic. The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group shared their feelings on Rivers, saying he \u2018brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced\u2019. Rivers founded the bad with Fred Durst and John Otto. The group went on to recieve three Grammy nominations and became one of the biggest Nu metal acts in the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous,\u201d they wrote in their heartfelt statement. \u201cHe was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human. A true legend of legends. And his spirit will live forever in every groove, every stage, every memory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love you, Sam. We\u2019ll carry you with us, always. Rest easy, brother. Your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/music\/\">music<\/a>\u00a0never ends,\u201d his bandmates said in the statement.<\/p>\n<p>The statement came just hours after Rivers shared on his Instagram, a video which was soundtracked with The Cars\u2019 1978 hit\u00a0<em>Good Times Roll<\/em>. The post would be the last he would make on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>The clip celebrated the 25th anniversary of \u00a0<em>Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water<\/em>, which was the band\u2019s third album.<\/p>\n<p>The LP was released on October 16, 2000 with 15 tracks and still holds the record of the fastest selling rock album of all time. Some of the popular songs on it include \u2018My Generation\u2019 and \u2018Rollin\u2019 (Air Raid Vehicle)\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The caption was simple, with the artist writing, \u201cNothing but love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also used his last post to promote Limp Bizkit\u2019s newly announced headline slot at the Rock For People festival.<\/p>\n<p>The band was finally confirmed to play at the Czechia-based festival beside previously confirmed acts including Iron Maiden and Bring Me The Horizon.<\/p>\n<p>The band was set to take the stage on June 11, 2026. The announcement came after the band released their first single in four years, \u2018Making Love To Morgan Wallen\u2019, in September this year.<\/p>\n<p>The tributes to Rivers have been pouring in from all over the world. In 2015, Rivers left Limp Bizkit citing liver disease caused by \u2018excessive\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/alcohol\/\">drinking<\/a>\u00a0as the reason.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote about his health troubles in his book,\u00a0<em>Raising Hell: Backstage Tales From the Lives of Metal Legends<\/em>. He wrote, \u201cI had to leave Limp Bizkit in 2015 because I felt so horrible, and a few months after that I realized I had to change everything because I had really bad liver disease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI quit drinking and did everything the\u00a0doctors\u00a0told me.
