While this may sound like a story too disturbing to be true, the reality of what Jackson endured is nothing short of shocking.<\/p>\n<p>What appeared to be insect bites on his body quickly turned out to be much worse \u2013 a series of gunshot wounds that would have scared anyone. This story highlights not only the importance of protecting animals but also how some people should never be trusted to care for them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19362\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypositiveinfo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/qeqeq.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sadly, there are too many individuals who should never be allowed to own or interact with animals.<\/p>\n<p>A few years ago, Hayden Howard noticed that her dog wasn\u2019t feeling well. While she was inside, her English Mastiff, Jackson, was playing in the backyard. When she called him, he looked like he was covered in bug bites.<\/p>\n<p>However, upon closer inspection, she discovered something much more disturbing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19363\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypositiveinfo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/qqe.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jackson was found to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was completely blown away. I didn\u2019t know what to think,\u201d Hayden shared with WXIN.<\/p>\n<p>She realized what had happened and immediately rushed Jackson to the vet. Upon further examination, the vet found numerous small rounds fired from a BB gun.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eT5mgSvCyPM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had one stuck under his eyelid, one in his ear, one in his knee \u2014 there were bullets everywhere,\u201d Hayden said.<\/p>\n<p>The vet had to shave off most of Jackson\u2019s fur to remove the plastic bullets, removing a total of 27 bullets in the process. However, there were 20 other gunshot wounds that could not be treated at the time.<\/p>\n<p>In total, Jackson was shot nearly 70 times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never seen an animal shot so many times,\u201d said Deputy Chief Craig Hayes of the Seymour Police Department. \u201cIt\u2019s a terrible case and it\u2019s heartbreaking to witness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-72514\" src=\"https:\/\/laptopsvilla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-882.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is incomprehensible how anyone could do such a thing to a defenseless animal, especially one that has never harmed anyone.<\/p>\n<div class=\"autors-widget\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Police began searching for the person believed to be responsible for the shooting, suspecting that the shooter might be in a neighbor\u2019s yard. They soon discovered that a rifle was hidden in the suspect\u2019s home along with ammunition a BB gun and shotgun shells. Officers also found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p>I truly hope that the perpetrator receives a long prison sentence and faces the full consequences of his actions. After serving time, they should never be allowed near animals again.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, despite the trauma he endured, Jackson is recovering well.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1728564912373-0\" data-google-query-id=\"CLye8_eotooDFbuMywEdfAsS1g\">\n<p>Although BBs and pellets are often referred to as \u201ctoys\u201d or \u201cfakes,\u201d they are real weapons that can cause injury. Any crime committed with a BB or pellet gun should be considered a serious crime and those responsible for using them against innocent beings should be held accountable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-72515\" src=\"https:\/\/laptopsvilla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-883.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 310px) 100vw, 310px\" srcset=\"\/\/laptopsvilla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-883.png 310w, \/\/laptopsvilla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-883-300x158.png 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"310\" height=\"163\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I hope Jackson continues to heal and can enjoy playing in his backyard again.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, the terrifying case of Jackson the dog serves as a stark reminder of the cruelty that some individuals are capable of inflicting on animals. It\u2019s hard to fathom the amount of hurt and suffering Jackson endured, all for nothing more than the malicious actions of another. As the investigation continues, I hope that justice will be served and that the perpetrator will face the full legal consequences for his actions.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, this incident underscores the importance of recognizing BBs and pellets as dangerous weapons, not toys.
