Haven survived for four days in the NICU, and Catherine and Andrew said they spent the time they had with their baby together as a family.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_23-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cWith the little bit of time that we got with her, we just wouldn&#8217;t trade any of it,\u201d Andrew told Fox 13.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_25-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Catherine added that they took Haven outside to the hospital\u2019s bereavement garden with the approval of hospital staff so that she could \u201cfeel the sun.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-content_1-0\" class=\"comp article-content mntl-block\">\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-page_1-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-page mntl-block structured-content\" data-sc-sticky-offset=\"90\" data-sc-ad-label-height=\"24\" data-sc-ad-track-spacing=\"100\" data-sc-min-track-height=\"250\" data-sc-max-track-height=\"600\" data-sc-breakpoint=\"50em\" data-sc-load-immediate=\"4\" data-sc-content-positions=\"[1, 1250, 1550, 1950, 2350, 2750, 3150, 3550, 3950]\" data-bind-scroll-on-start=\"true\">\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_29-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cBack in the [hospital room], she passed on my chest, and, you know, we were all just kind of snuggled into bed, and I just couldn&#8217;t think of a more beautiful way to say goodbye,\u201d Andrew said, adding, \u201cOur miracle becomes someone else&#8217;s miracle as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_33-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">The couple donated Haven\u2019s organs through the\u00a0LifeLink Foundation, an organization dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation, per the\u00a0<em>Times\u00a0<\/em>and Fox 13.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_35-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;We don\u2019t often hear stories of women carrying babies to term with the sole intent of donating that baby\u2019s organs to someone else who needs a lifesaving transplant,&#8221; LifeLink\u2019s public affairs manager, Sherri Day, told Fox 13. &#8220;What a remarkable family.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The woman was told her unborn baby had a condition known as anencephaly, which affects the development of the brain and skull A Florida woman chose to\u00a0carry her baby daughter to term\u00a0after learning the child would not survive, hoping her decision could help save the lives of other infants.
