In disbelief. Confused and in shock. We are exhausted and shaken after a day filled with trauma and heartbreak.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added:\u00a0\u201cThis is the only thing giving me even a small sense of comfort. Molly missed her sister so deeply. But I do feel it\u2019s important to let people know that we have some answers this time,\u201d\u00a0she wrote on Instagram. \u201cThe doctors believe Molly had a genetic heart condition and suspect this may have been the case with Abi as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As per\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/28\/celebrity-news\/influencer-melissa-mae-carltons-youngest-daughter-dies-1-year-after-sister\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Page Six<\/a>, after Molly fell ill at home first responders arrived quickly to take her to the hospital, 15 minutes away.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-1010921842\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-4279fd653b919955aba602b75bbbcdd6\" class=\"newsner-4279fd653b919955aba602b75bbbcdd6 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>Melissa shared that a minor illness might have triggered Molly\u2019s \u201ccardiac event,\u201d adding: \u201cHer little body fought so hard. But we\u2019ve been told that this type of cardiac event is, in most cases, not survivable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Molly\u2019s little sister Abi died in April 2024 at the age of nine after battling sepsis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are no words to express how heartbroken and devastated we are,\u201d Melissa at the time. \u201cI wasn\u2019t sure when or how much I would share this on here, but I feel moved to this morning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The grieving mom revealed she \u201cnever felt satisfied\u201d with the answers she got when Abi passed, but with Molly monitored in the hospital before she died, the family were afforded more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rest in peace, Molly and Abi.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Influencer Melissa Mae Carlton is mourning the unimaginable loss of her youngest daughter, Molly, who passed away a year after the death of her daughter Abi.
