Some people tend to take it even harder than usual. It seems that a woman who is vegan has an issue with her neighbors and what they eat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>She decided to take things beyond a simple request. She turned to the justice system to see whether there was a remedy for it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keep reading to learn more about what happened in the end.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been devastating, it\u2019s been turmoil, it\u2019s been unrest, I haven\u2019t been able to sleep,\u201d Carden told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com.au\/national\/perth-vegan-who-took-neighbours-to-court-over-barbecue-lawyer-calls-for-calm\/1d171370-b0e2-40d7-a348-0104933211cb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">9News<\/a>\u00a0in 2019.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-0b2a67d9800525fbc459e54e4fa90fe5\" class=\"newsner-0b2a67d9800525fbc459e54e4fa90fe5 newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"newsner-1192024913\" class=\"newsner-incide_content_once\">\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails\" class=\"trc_related_container tbl-trecs-container trc_spotlight_widget\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For months, Carden, who is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/vegan\/\">vegan<\/a>, has complained that the smell of her neighbor\u2019s barbecue and smoking has bothered her. She has also commented on the children playing basketball.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can\u2019t enjoy my backyard, I can\u2019t go out there.\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n<p>It got to be such a problem that she took her neighbors to court. When her claims were rejected she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.com.au\/lifestyle\/real-life\/news-life\/organiser-behind-bbq-for-perth-vegan-speaks-out-about-the-event\/news-story\/82ddfa6aab37a7080b68b06598272618\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">applied to appeal to the Supreme Court<\/a>, but was also rejected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s deliberate, that\u2019s what I told the courts, it\u2019s deliberate,\u201d Carden said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-975488251\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-d285569d8119b88f0b638c90e66d255b\" class=\"newsner-d285569d8119b88f0b638c90e66d255b newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>But her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/neighbor\/\">neighbor<\/a>\u00a0believes they\u2019ve fixed the solution. 9News reportedly visited the defendant\u2019s backyard where they were shown that the barbecue had been removed and the children had been told not to play basketball anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, after news of the unusual court case made headlines, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.com.au\/lifestyle\/real-life\/news-life\/cookout-planned-outside-vegans-house-that-wants-neighbours-bbq-banned\/news-story\/99b5b8a2b125ccc0fe9d13a16f55d6de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Facebook event<\/a>\u00a0for a community BBQ was created to let Carden know she couldn\u2019t \u201cdestroy a good old Aussie tradition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, after 24,000 people responded to the event police issued a warning and Carden\u2019s lawyer threatened legal action. The BBQ was canceled.<\/p>\n<p>Although her actions and complaints have led many to believe she is against others eating meat, Carden\u2019s lawyer insists she has \u201cno objection to people eating meat and no objection to people having barbecues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you think about Cilla Carden\u2019s decision to sue her neighbors?
