While the stars of the music business were celebrated as artists, songwriters, producers, and more, the gala also became a platform for many celebrities to speak out against Donald Trump and his administration.<\/p>\n<p>Several artists spoke out against the administration\u2019s deployment of ICE agents in cities across America. In the recent incident, Minneapolis and Saint Paul saw ICE operations that left two people dead. As of late, Portland has seen several protests against ICE, with one ending with the agents deploying tear gas.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-6\">\n<div id=\"readupdatednews.com_responsive_2\" data-google-query-id=\"CLGz-OyRwZIDFbqHgwcdnT461Q\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23207117756\/readupdatednews.com\/readupdatednews.com_responsive_2_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Billie Eilish, Carole King, and Finneas O\u2019Connell all wore specific pins with the text \u201cICE OUT.\u201d Even Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, who\u2019ve been known to not address American politics, wore them.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Isbell, Margo Price, Kehlani, and Rhiannon Giddens were among the other artists wearing protest apparel on the Grammys red carpet.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-9\">\n<div id=\"readupdatednews.com_responsive_1\" data-google-query-id=\"CJat-OyRwZIDFejJRAcdVQcZ6g\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23207117756\/readupdatednews.com\/readupdatednews.com_responsive_1_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Artists speak out against ICE on Grammy\u2019s<br \/>\nJustin Vernon, founder and singer of the band Bon Iver whore a whistle pin, explaining on the red carpet it was \u201cto honor the observers in Minneapolis\u201d who \u201cblow the whistle when they see ICE come in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Per Variety, he added, They are there to protect their community, and they\u2019ve been doing it for weeks. It\u2019s great to stop here and celebrate music and the power of music, but the real work is in the streets of Minneapolis right now, and I\u2019m here to honor them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several artists used their stage platforms to speak out against ICE operations across the US.<\/p>\n<p>Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas O\u2019Connell, won the award for song of the year Wildflower. On stage, Eilish said, \u201cI feel so honored every time I get to be in this room. And, as grateful as I feel, I honestly don\u2019t feel like I need to say anything, but that no one is illegal on stolen land \u2026 It\u2019s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I feel really hopeful in this room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22351\" src=\"https:\/\/readupdatednews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/eilishbadbunny-664x350-1-300x158.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/readupdatednews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/eilishbadbunny-664x350-1-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/readupdatednews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/eilishbadbunny-664x350-1.jpg 664w\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" \/><\/p>\n<p>British soul-pop singer Olivia Dean, who was named best new artist, explained that she is a granddaughter of an immigrant, adding that immigrants \u201cdeserve to be celebrated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not savage\u201d<br \/>\nBad Bunny, who is set to perform at the Super Bowl and has been called \u201cabsolutely ridiculous by Trump, won the award for best m\u00fasica urbana album. The artist began his speech, \u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m gonna say: ICE out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cWe\u2019re not savage, we\u2019re not animals, we\u2019re not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Artist Kehlani, who won Best R&amp;B Performance, used her first-ever Grammy wins to call out ICE agents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope everybody\u2019s inspired to join together as a community of artists and speak out against what\u2019s going on. \u2026 Imma leave this and say f\u2014 ICE;\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s your take on this?
