Donald Trump has never been shy of speaking his mind. During a Tuesday press conference in the Oval Office, when talking about the way he\u2019s been portrayed in the media, Trump took an unexpected swing at his White House Press Secretary, calling her \u201cterrible.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Karoline Leavitt has been at the barricades, which is the White House Press Room, to defend and explain Donald Trump\u2019s actions as president for years. However, on Tuesday, it appears Donald wasn\u2019t too happy about her work. Luckily, he wasn\u2019t being too serious.<\/p>\n

Trump took a swipe at his press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, joking about her performance while complaining about media coverage.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters, Trump claimed that the press treats him overwhelmingly negatively, saying: \u201cI got 93 percent bad publicity.\u201d He added that some estimates were even higher, noting, \u201cSome people say 97, but between 93 and 97.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump takes swing at Karoline Leavitt<\/h2>\n

Trump continued, turning to Leavitt and jokingly questioning her effectiveness. \u201cA person that gets 97 percent \u2014 maybe Karoline\u2019s doing a poor job, I don\u2019t know,\u201d he said, before bluntly adding: \u201cYou\u2019re doing a terrible job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the criticism, Trump quickly softened his tone. He asked whether she should remain in her role, saying, \u201cShould we keep her? I think we\u2019ll keep her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president continued to attack the media, describing it as biased and hostile. He repeated his long-standing claim that news outlets are unfair to him, saying: \u201cAll they do is hit Trump.\u201d He went further, arguing broadcasters are \u201can arm of the Democratic Party.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also suggested that networks could face consequences for negative coverage, remarking: \u201cThey\u2019re licensed. They\u2019re not allowed to do that.\u201d and adding, \u201cI would think maybe their licenses should be taken away.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comments reflect his ongoing frustration with press coverage and his combative relationship with media organizations, which he has frequently labeled \u201cfake.\u201d However, as we all know, this has been a theme throughout his time at the White House, dating back to 2016.<\/p>\n
