\u2018I had an honest conversation with God, and I told him how I felt. I was hurt. I was a little angry and, of course, you feel guilty for being mad at your creator,\u2019 Carrie \u2013 whose fears were happily unfounded and she gave birth to son Jacob in January 2019 \u2013 said as she broke down in tears during episode two of Mike And Carrie: God & Country.<\/p>\n
Heartbreak: Carrie Underwood was \u2018mad\u2019 at God after suffering three miscarriages. The Love Wins singer admitted she had \u2018had enough\u2019 when she worried her fourth pregnancy after having son Isaiah, now five, was also not going to go to term and she was left feeling \u2018guilty\u2019 over her frustrations with her faith<\/p>\n
\u2018And I told him we needed something. We needed to have a baby or not, ever, because I couldn\u2019t keep going down that road anymore.<\/p>\n
After her second miscarriage, Carrie\u2019s husband Mike Fisher was convinced that she would eventually have another son and they would name him Jacob following his own conversation with God.<\/p>\n
He said: \u2018What\u2019s the future look like, we don\u2019t know. Are we going to adopt, are we going to\u2026 going through things in your mind.<\/p>\n

\u2018I was just wrestling and probably the most honest I\u2019d been with God. And I heard, not audibly, but I sensed that God told me that we were going to have a son, and his name\u2019s Jacob.<\/p>\n
\u2018Not much longer, we were pregnant, and we lose another baby,\u2019<\/p>\n
The Before He Cheats hitmaker admitted she always thought miscarriages \u2018happened to other people\u2019.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So much support: Her husband Mike Fisher said that after the miscarriages they didn\u2019t know what to do.\u00a0He said: \u2018What\u2019s the future look like, we don\u2019t know. Are we going to adopt, are we going to\u2026 going through things in your mind\u2019<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He got a message of hope:\u00a0\u2018I was just wrestling and probably the most honest I\u2019d been with God. And I heard, not audibly, but I sensed that God told me that we were going to have a son, and his name\u2019s Jacob,\u2019 said Fisher<\/p>\n
Carrie \u2013 who recently revealed she is working on a full Christmas album \u2013 tearfully said: \u2018It sounds wrong when you say it. But it\u2019s one of those bad things that happens to other people, you know what I mean? It\u2019s like so many things in the world, it\u2019s not like something you ever envision yourself having to deal with.\u2019<\/p>\n
Last week she said on her show that at first was not sure she wanted to have children, admitting that she and\u00a0Fisher\u00a0had different ideas about family when they first met.<\/p>\n
In the series, Carrie says she never saw herself \u2018getting married or having a family,\u2019 while her 39-year-old former hockey player spouse claims that he wanted to replicate his own idyllic childhood.<\/p>\n

Getting real:\u00a0Last week she said on her show that at first was not sure she wanted to have children, admitting that she and Fisher had different ideas about family when they first met<\/p>\n
\u2018I was never good with other people\u2019s kids. Why would I be good with one of my own?\u2019 Carrie, who is now mother to Isaiah, five, and Jacob, 16 months, explained.<\/p>\n
Mike, on the other hand, was excited by the prospect.<\/p>\n
\u2018I grew up with three other siblings and I had a great mom and dad,\u2019 the Peterborough, Canada-born Fisher revealed.<\/p>\n
\u2018I wanted to be the best dad, to be like my dad and have a wife like my mom, have kids and [live] in the country.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
Candid thoughts:\u00a0\u2018I was never good with other people\u2019s kids. Why would I be good with one of my own?\u2019 Carrie, who is now mother to Isaiah, five, and Jacob, 16 months, admitted<\/p>\n
\u2018I got everything and more than I dreamed of to be really honest,\u2019 Mike added.<\/p>\n
Of course, Carrie eventually came around, saying she\u00a0fell \u2018in love\u2019 as soon as she had her oldest child \u2013 though naturally, that first experience of parenthood was tinged with fear.<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s just this tiny person that you\u2019re just trying to keep alive in the beginning,\u2019\u00a0the Before He Cheats hitmaker said.<\/p>\n

Motherhood suits her: Carrie eventually came around, saying she fell \u2018in love\u2019 as soon as she had her oldest child<\/p>\n
\u2018The first time I held Isaiah, I thought, \u201cWhat did we do?!\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n
And while the couple have been together for more than a decade, Carrie admitted she \u2018never\u2019 expected to end up with someone like Mike.<\/p>\n
\u2018He grew up hunting and being outdoors, and it\u2019s a big part of his life. I grew up on a cattle farm, and I went the other way,\u2019 she explained.<\/p>\n
\u2018I don\u2019t eat meat and do my best to not buy leather things. I love animals, I love life so much that I always swore I would never marry a hunter\u2026 not in a million years.<\/p>\n

\u2018I wanted to be the best dad, to be like my dad and have a wife like my mom, have kids and [live] in the country,\u2019 Fisher says in the show<\/p>\n
\u2018We just differ drastically. We learn from each other and we have [discussions] about things we disagree on but at the end of the day, we love each other very much,\u2019 the Muskogee, Oklahoma-born singer added.<\/p>\n
And regardless of their differences, the couple will always have their shared faith, which is part of what got them through the trials of repeated miscarriages in their efforts to have children.<\/p>\n
Mike said, \u2018That\u2019s where our faith comes in, too. It\u2019s kind of that centre ground, where that\u2019s the most important thing in anything.<\/p>\n
\u2018I know your heart, and I know my heart,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
