He shared how he helped her with her confidence. She initially landed a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/feature\/rod-stewart-wife-4602261\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u00a3200,000 deal<\/a>\u00a0to model for Ultimo, a swimwear and lingerie brand in 2002. The couple shares two sons together, Alastair and Aiden. However, having them was not easy. Lancaster suffered two miscarriages before the couple turned to IVF to conceive their first son Alastair.<\/p>\n<p>The couple went into parenting with eyes wide open and agreements with one another to still nurture their marital relationship despite welcoming children together.<\/p>\n<p>Lancaster also shared how the couple had an understanding with one another that they would not spend more than\u00a0ten days apart from one another.<\/p>\n<p>The couple aims to always spent quality time with one another. Lancaster once jokingly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/3am\/celebrity-news\/penny-lancaster-makes-sure-devotes-6528688\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a>, \u201cI try and split my time between my eldest child, Rod,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and my other two boys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple would often have dinner or breakfast together on their own. They also make sure to check up on one another frequently to make sure everything is okay.<\/p>\n<p>She makes sure to also check up on her children because as a wife and mother, she always wants to ensure the well-being of her loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>The former\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/model\/\">supermodel<\/a>\u00a0shared how she had experienced a few unpleasant symptoms of menopause and how they had taken a toll on her body. And when she feels like she needs a little space, she isn\u2019t afraid of asking for it either.<\/p>\n<p>She gave some insight into how menopause is affecting her body and health. She\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-8588243\/Penny-Lancaster-reveals-started-menopause-lockdown.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">shared<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019ve been having the really hot sweats, and then freezing cold\u2026 my body temperature is fluctuating all over the place. It affects your mood swings; I\u2019ve been putting on more weight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also shared how the fluctuation in her hormones affects her. She shared how one day she felt nothing was right. When she was making dinner in the kitchen, something came over her and she threw the dinner across the room and began sobbing.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123669 entered lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ebs.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2023\/04\/shutterstock_63674176.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"361\" height=\"541\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ebs.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2023\/04\/shutterstock_63674176.jpg\" data-ll-status=\"loaded\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Shutterstock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Her sons were with her and she asked them to give her a minute. The family has an open communication policy so it was not an issue as they discussed it in detail later on.<\/p>\n<p>The former model saw how menopause was changing her body and she was afraid of what it might mean fo her. She said, \u201cThis is the end of the road. I am not going to have any more sex appeal\u2026.\u201d she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/healthandbeauty\/health-and-fitness\/20211017124092\/penny-lancaster-menopause-loose-women-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As she got older, the former supermodel wanted to make sure she was still giving back to society and hence trained to become a police officer.<\/p>\n<p>She also got help to manage her menopause symptoms. Not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lancaster has accepted this new phase in her life and her post-menopausal body.
