While I know he has found peace and his angel wings, saying goodbye is never easy.\u201d She expressed similar sentiments on Facebook and Threads, calling him an \u201camazing soul\u201d and promising to always cherish his memory.<\/p>\n<p>An obituary revealed that David passed away in his home in White Pine, Tennessee, though no cause of death was provided. Unlike his superstar sister, Dolly, David lived a private life, choosing a career as a superintendent and bridge builder for Simpson Construction. He contributed to many projects across Knoxville, Johnson City, and Kingsport, Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>David leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Married to his wife, Kay, for 45 years, he is survived by their two daughters, Donna and Dena, as well as Lucas, a nephew described as a \u201cnephew\/son,\u201d and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>As the second eldest of 11 Parton siblings, David\u2019s passing follows the loss of his brothers Randy, who died in 2021, and Floyd, who passed in 2018.
