However, it turned out that she was injected with silicone, which changed everything,<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-silicone-inflamed-her-eye-and-cheeks\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Silicone inflamed her eye and cheeks<\/h2>\n<p>Due to the silicone, her right eye and part of her cheek became deformed. Not only were the silicone injections illegal, but her eye and cheek were left greatly inflamed.<\/p>\n<p>Though she had injections in both of her cheeks, somehow only her left side received the silicone. In the end, Gina and her husband concluded it must have been because she had two different injections with two different products.<\/p>\n<p>Four years later, things had gotten really, really bad. The horrifying effects of the illegal silicone injections had begun to show. But in reality, it turned out to be something straight out of a nightmare.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-it-just-went-boom\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cIt just went boom\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>In a matter of days, as Gina recalled, the granuloma had grown large. And then it suddenly burst open.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of a sudden, it just went boom, and there\u2019s just huge granulomas,\u201d Gina\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=T9suNmZYLGQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">shared<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At that point, Gina knew she had to get help. She went through five different corrective surgeries to remove the silicone, but none of them did the trick, and the granulomas returned. In the end, she was left with a gaping hole in her cheek.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had to close [my practice],\u201d Gina said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t sleep, and you\u2019re in constant pain. It\u2019s hard to think on your feet all the time. This isn\u2019t just me looking slightly pretty. I\u2019m in agony, I don\u2019t sleep, my hair started thinning kind of like a hair loss. And I just started feeling kind of weak and fatigued. They took some fat from her belly and placed it beneath her cheek skin to add volume to the area.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Paul Nassif was responsible for Gina\u2019s surgeries. During the first procedure, he said that he found \u201cunusual things.\u201d It turned out that he removed what he explained looked like \u201ca piece of gauze\u201d on her face.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, Gina explained that her pain was slowly going away, and she was finally able to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just really grateful now that I have a chance to reclaim my life because things were starting to look dismal. This is the best I\u2019ve felt in a long time, so I\u2019m just really crossing my fingers that this is really the end of my personal hell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the joy of being able to sleep and not being in pain all the time didn\u2019t last long. Sadly, Gina had no choice but to be put under the knife again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy only alternative at this point is to open her up again, look for the capsule of the seroma, and remove it completely, and hopefully, this will be it,\u201d Nassif said.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-this-is-gina-anderson-from-botched-today\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">This is Gina Anderson from \u2018Botched\u2019 today<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cFor some reason, Gina\u2019s body is constantly making fluid in her cheek following her first surgery. Why is this happening? I don\u2019t know,\u201d he added. \u201cThis just goes to show you that you can never predict what\u2019s going to happen in regards to healing after you operate on a face that has had silicone injected into it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The second time around, Gina finally got the result she wanted. She was \u201cunbelievably happy,\u201d and her face was pretty much back to normal. The doctors did a fantastic job, and Gina was ready to start her new life.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the latest picture after the second procedure on\u00a0<em>Botched<\/em>, we understand that she is happy.
