But the idea that she was able to transform the commonplace into the spectacular resonated with me.<\/p>\n<p>Another thing you learn about grandparents early on is that it\u2019s useless to mess with them. You already know how it will turn out. If you run into Winifred Peel, a 77-year-old British woman from Wirral, that is unquestionably the case.<\/p>\n<p>Winifred, a retiree, went to a cash machine one day to get some cash.<\/p>\n<div class=\"g g-8\">\n<div class=\"g-single a-29\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>She saw someone approaching from behind her as she stood there protecting her pin. Two men had knocked her off balance before she could react. Then, still another man showed up.<\/p>\n<p>Winifred was touched as someone attempted to withdraw \u00a3200 from her account.<br \/>\nswift action<\/p>\n<p>The men were thieves, and if Winifred didn\u2019t take action right now, they would empty her account completely.<\/p>\n<p>But Winifred came up with a plan when one of the men attempted to withdraw money.<\/p>\n<p>She grabbed the man\u2019s collar and used all her strength to slam his head into the cash machine.<\/p>\n<p>Before the robbers were forced to flee, rushing like dogs with their tails between their legs, she was able to hit the man\u2019s skull against the machine three times.<\/p>\n<p>The attackers were then detained later that day after Winifred called the police.<\/p>\n<p>One of the reasons Winifred\u2019s defensive behavior helped the police identify the men so quickly was the head wound one of them had received. Felix Stoica, Florin Gebelscu, and Piper Dumitru were named as the individuals. All three were ultimately found guilty in court and sentenced to prison.<\/p>\n<p>The bandits drove to the village, according to the prosecutor, looking for easy prey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey did not care about how this would affect me,\u201d Winifred said, as per British source Metro. \u201cI would definitely say this has changed my life, I will never have the confidence I once did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, Winifred had a tenacity the robbers hadn\u2019t anticipated because she had grown up with three brothers and attended the gym four days a week.<\/p>\n<p>Winifred, go!
