At least 37 people lost their lives and many more were injured in a horrific crash between two buses.<\/p>\n

The vehicles crashed on the route between the cities of Uyuni and Colchani in the western Potosi region of Bolivia,\u00a0Reuters\u00a0<\/em>reported.<\/p>\n

The incident happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, the Departmental Police Command of Potosi said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result of this fatal accident we have 39 people injured in four hospitals in the town of Uyuni, and 37 people have lost their lives,\u201d a spokesperson of the police department states.<\/p>\n

The injured people were transported to a hospital in Uyuni where they were provided with medical assistance.<\/p>\n

As of those who tragically lost their lives, the police is still trying to identify their bodies.<\/p>\n

The report by the Departmental Police Command of Potosi stated that the crash happened after one of the buses swerved into the oncoming lane, likely due to speeding.<\/h2>\n

At the scene, a crane had to be used to turn over one of the buses which had rolled over onto its side in order to be able to pull out the bodies.<\/p>\n
