And she knew it wouldn\u2019t be easy to give her child a fair chance of succeeding in the world.<\/p>\n<p>So with a heavy heart, Christina decided to put her baby up for adoption.<\/p>\n<p>But when little Abigail was born, everything changed. The family that promised to adopt the newborn girl suddenly changed their mind. Dess filnamn \u00e4r gosa8.jpg\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=1014740528597515&amp;set=a.118512714886972.20126.100001847318314&amp;type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook\/Christina Fischer<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Abigail was diagnosed with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/treacher-collins-syndrome\/\">Treacher Collins syndrome<\/a>, a rare genetic disease that causes the face to be asymmetrical and can also cause respiratory and eye problems.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the diagnosis, Christina didn\u2019t feel anything but love for her little girl \u2014 she thought Abigail was incredibly beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>And who would disagree?<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn1.newsner.com\/attachments\/images\/000\/293\/753\/newsner_default\/goso8.jpg?1504076849\" alt=\"Denna bild har ett alt-attribut som \u00e4r tomt. Dess filnamn \u00e4r goso8.jpg\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=1014740528597515&amp;set=a.118512714886972.20126.100001847318314&amp;type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook\/Christina Fischer<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Unfortunately, Abigail\u2019s adoptive family did, writes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2016\/06\/06\/adoptive-mother-abandons-baby-with-rare-genetic-condition--so-bi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The family arrived at the hospital to support Christina while she was was in labor. But after the 36-year-old gave birth, it was a different story.<\/p>\n<p>When the adoptive mom-to-be saw Abigail\u2019s face, all her kind words and friendly smiles disappeared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe came out crying\u2026 and left the hospital. She scrapped her adoption plans and decided to raise Abigail on her own.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-255804197\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-16950ef06e2c1bc17686145e146aa4e6\" class=\"newsner-16950ef06e2c1bc17686145e146aa4e6 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>And she contacted a photographer to take some beautiful pictures of her and her daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Christina thought the photos were so nice that she posted some online, along with Abigail\u2019s incredible story.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn1.newsner.com\/attachments\/images\/000\/293\/756\/newsner_default\/mother.jpg?1504077111\" alt=\"Denna bild har ett alt-attribut som \u00e4r tomt.
