Mad Max stuntman Grant Page, 85, dies in a horrific car crash Many people worship the figure of the “legend”.

The Australian celebrity was driving alone when the accident happened, so paramedics quickly arrived at the scene.

Police and paramedics arrived within minutes, but the movie star died very sadly.

His 49-year-old son Leroy said his father was a “legend” who is now making new movies.

“He died in very good spirits and very motivated,” he told Daily Mail Australia. It brought him great joy.

No further details of the incident, which happened in New South Wales on Thursday, have been confirmed.

Deathcheaters, Roadgames, Stunt Rock, and The Man from Hong Kong are some of Page’s best-known action films.

His latest projects are Three Thousand Years of Longing and Furiosa, a prequel to Mad Max, which will be released later this year.

The stuntman began performing in the 1970s and was revered by his admirers.

According to his former manager Brian Trenchard-Smith, “I’ve known Gibson Page for 52 years; he was Australia’s first stuntman.”

“I will miss her terribly. His manly life served as an inspiration to others.

“Most people know that aging makes us heavier, that gravity pulls us down, and that death awaits us if we test our limits.” Granted, he could change probability and physics, so it wasn’t necessary.

Trenchard-Smith claims to have “extraordinary ability” in stunt driving.

“He’s the guy you dodge cars, slide off a burning cliff, jump into the water, and fight a shark.”

Jamie Blanks, an Australian director, wrote on his website: “I have just heard the devastating news that my dear friend and legendary Australian stuntman Grant Page has passed away.”

“Grant was one of the most amazing, kindest, and bravest men I have ever met.

I am devastated to hear of the passing of this Australian legend today. Rest in peace, Grant.

Australian film critic Dr. Luke Buckmaster described him as “brave, brilliant, and devilishly cheeky” and said his legacy is “written in tire stripes and burn marks”.

Among his most famous maneuvers was the “transfer” technique.

They were speeding down the road when he jumped from one car window to another in a matter of seconds.

In addition to his four sons Leroy, 52-year-old Adrian, 51-year-old Jeremy, and 47-year-old Gulliver, Page is survived by his ex-wife Joy and ex-lover Ulli.

Grant Page’s passing will leave a void in the world of stunts and action films, but his legacy as a pioneer in the industry will live on. A fearless artist and pioneering figure in Australian cinema, he pioneered stunt work, defying the laws of gravity and physics to create breathtaking scenes that have captivated audiences for decades. His career spanned over 50 years and he continued to inspire filmmakers and fans alike, pushing the boundaries of what was possible in action cinema.

While his tragic death in a car accident marks the end of an extraordinary life, his influence will be felt by generations. His boldness, charisma, and larger-than-life personality earned him admiration not only from his colleagues but from audiences around the world. Through films like Deathcheaters,  Mad Max, and Furiosa, Grant Page cemented his place in cinema history as one of the greatest stuntmen of all time.

Grant Page embodied more than just his physical prowess, he embodied the spirit of adventure and resilience. His former manager and close friends spoke of his unique ability to challenge the limits of possibility while remaining humble and grounded. His sons, colleagues, and fans will forever remember him as a man of courage, warmth, and an indomitable will to have fun.
