What are they Afraid Of?”: ABC News Hammered after It Cuts Off Live Feed of JD Vance

ABC News has faced intense criticism from conservatives after the feed was cut when Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance was speaking about receiving an endorsement from former Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.  Following the incident, users on social media speculated that the news network may be “afraid” and trying to silence the Trump-Vance campaign.

During a live interview with Vance during the Democratic National Convention earlier this summer, Vance said, “I don’t know if those reports are true, but I would certainly welcome his endorsement. I grew up in a family. I was raised by my poor grandmother, who didn’t have a high school diploma, but..” before he cut out and the broadcast was interrupted. The ABC News anchor then stated “Looks like we just lost Senator JD Vance there.”

Subsequently, conservatives blasted the network, suggesting that it may have been an attempt to silence the Trump-Vance campaign, particularly as they were about the be endorsed by RFK Jr. in a major shakeup to the race.  “ABC cuts the live feed off as J.D. Vance is talking about welcoming the endorsement of RFK JR What are they afraid of?” one person asked on X, sharing a clip of the incident.

Commenting underneath the post, one person pointed out that Trump’s opponents have much to fear if Trump returns to the White House.  “They’re afraid of the fact that DJT is loading up with a staff that they have previously unjustly attacked and have good reason to fear every single person he is bringing on board. This is going to be spectacular,” one person wrote.

“He’s going to have a cabinet and advisors that span a number of varying but all Constitutional political viewpoints. I feel like he is building a modern version of the Constitutional Convention. All are willing to put the American people ahead of their own safety and comfort,” another person commented, expressing anticipation for Trump’s leadership under a second term.

As the election approaches, many conservatives feel that the media has increasingly demonstrated that it is nothing more than a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.  “Legacy Media is simply a propaganda outlet for the Dem agenda and Dem misinformation. As more and more people realize it, LM will whither away,” one person wrote, demonstrating this perception.

“@ABC is dying and it is well deserved. They have long since given up the ruse of being “journalists” and have become very comfortable in their role as propagandists for the far left. They are losing money and viewership and I couldn’t be more delighted,” another user on X stated, echoing this same sentiment that the media is biased.

The media is going to pull Kamala over the finish line by silencing us. I really wish Trump would have bought CNN since it’s struggling so much. It really would have helped the Republicans a lot!” another person said, voicing criticism against the mainstream media and how it allegedly is shaping the outcome of the presidential election by propping up Kamala Harris.
