‘Squad’ Rep. Under Fire for ‘Disgusting’ Comments
Another member of the notorious “Squad” in the House of Representatives finds herself in serious trouble due to some quite appalling remarks made in a recent social media post regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) labeled the agency as a “terrorist force” during comments made on Wednesday.
While engaging in an interview with Brianna Keilar on “CNN News Central,” Jayapal elaborated on her statements from an Instagram post with the anchor. The post stated, “ICE is behaving like a terrorist force. Individuals across the nation, regardless of their legal status — including U.S. citizens — are being abducted and vanished from the streets by masked individuals. There is no oversight, no accountability. It is entirely lawless.”
Keilar subsequently requested Jayapal to provide a response to a statement issued by White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson.
Jackson’s statement asserted, “Jayapal’s reprehensible comments necessitate an immediate apology. Courageous ICE officers are merely fulfilling their duties and enforcing federal immigration law with the highest level of professionalism.”
As reported by Fox News, Jayapal replied, “What is irrational, cruel, and outrageous is that we are witnessing ICE agents, whom I presume are indeed ICE agents. They claim to be. They lack any form of identification. They are masked and dressed in plain clothes. They are coming and abducting individuals, making them disappear from the streets of the United States.”
“Dangerous slanders from irrational leftists like Jayapal incite their followers to violently confront and obstruct federal law enforcement. Due to remarks such as those made by Jayapal, assaults on ICE agents have surged by 500% this year. This figure is likely to escalate further if Jayapal continues her defamatory statements,” Jackson added.
“I never imagined in a million years that I would witness such a thing here in America,” stated the liberal Democrat. “Therefore, I believe it is the administration that owes an apology to U.S. citizens who have been rounded up, including legal permanent residents and individuals with legal statuses throughout the nation who are being swept up, as well as those who have resided here for 20 years without committing any crimes, being taken by masked individuals who are abducting them and deporting them.”
She subsequently described ICE’s actions in enforcing immigration law as “outrageous,” “unconstitutional,” and “illegal.” Indeed, you read that correctly. According to the astute reasoning of Rep. Jayapal, enforcing the law has now become illegal. This, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the individuals whom Democrats claim represents the promising future of their party.
If that assertion holds true, the left may never secure a significant electoral victory again.
“It is truly instilling fear in individuals, including small enterprises and farmers,” Jayapal stated during the interview. “The round table I conducted in Spokane included participants from the Growers League, farmers who are filled with dread, and restaurant proprietors who are witnessing a decline in their sales as patrons are reluctant to dine out. Literally. People are extremely fearful, Brianna. This is not something I ever anticipated witnessing in the United States of America. The White House owes an apology to the American populace for their actions.”
Tom Homan, who served as President Donald Trump’s border czar, appeared on “The Will Cain Show” where he criticized a new application named ICEBlock that is presently utilized to monitor ICE agents and assist in alerting illegal immigrants about their locations.
“Attacks against ICE have surged by over 500%,” Homan articulated on the show. “Now there is an application that will disclose where ICE operations are occurring. It is merely a matter of time before ICE agents are ambushed by some lunatic, similar to the incident in L.A., where they were assaulted with cocktails and bricks. This is utterly appalling on every level.”
